If you’re a conservative, you probably have major issues with the tech giants of the world. They’re over the top with their progressive agenda, and they’re so rich and powerful that it’s hard to prevent them from damaging society.
There are tons of examples of problems with these companies, but Google has worked hard to stand out in a crowd of scumbags. They’ve done too many shady things.
Google started innocently enough. Some computer experts were trying to make it easier to find what you want on the internet, and for a while, that really is what the company did.
You know the old saying about power corrupting people. When it comes to curating the internet, Google is just about as close to absolute power as you can get. Once they noticed their power, they worked to swing elections, silence political ideas they don’t like and sell out freedom in general.
This is a company that openly worked with the Chinese government to help control their population. Google technology combats speech and spies on the people of China, all for a paycheck. What’s worse is how Google tries to implement similar, illegal technology right here at home.
Even though you know Google has been stealing personal data for years, you haven’t been able to do much about it. Well, over the past year, they upped their game, and it’s not pleasant. The Wall Street Journal has just revealed that Google has a massive secret project that steals healthcare data from millions of people in at least 21 states.
Let’s stop for a moment and give the Wall Street Journal a little praise. They’ve been uncovering a lot of dirt on Google — including proof that Google blacklists conservative content.
But, the healthcare story is truly sinister. A branch of Alphabet is working as a nonprofit to collect personal health data from a multitude of healthcare providers.
The project has a secret code name — Project Nightingale — and Google leadership has been trying to deny its existence all year. Every single line of data was collected without permission from the patients, and it is now inside of a Google distribution machine. They can do whatever they want with it, and there’s a very good chance that your medical history is on their lists.
This is potentially a violation of privacy law (they’re murky at best), but we know there won’t be any real repercussions for the tech giant. The progressives in power love them too much.
We’re in a scary spot. It’s hard to imagine that any other company has ever held such a monopoly on information before. It’s incredibly dangerous, and we need to take action to put Google back in their place.
Perhaps privacy laws could help. Maybe we need to pursue antitrust against the major tech companies. At the very least, transparency laws would be a good place to start.
On top of all of that, the very best thing to do is leverage the free market as best you can. It’s tough to live life without Google right now, but there are alternative search engines and content platforms. Spend your money wisely.
